Eastbourne Boot camp FAQ answers your most commonly asked questions. Q. Where do the sessions take place? A. Presently the sessions take place in Gildredge Park in Eastbourne on the grass near to the Dittons road entrance. During the winter months evenings sessions take place on the University of Brighton Astro Turf located on Denton Road, Meads, Eastbourne. Q. What is the format of a typical session? A. The intention of each session is for it to be physically challenging yet enjoyable and fun. Typically a session will start with a dynamic warm up using various mobility exercises designed to get your blood pumping and pulse rate up! The main body of the session will comprise of combinations of strength and conditioning exercises employing body weight, kettlebells, battling ropes, bulgarian bags, medicine balls, sandbags, shuttle runs, partner assisted exercises and many many more. Exercises are performed for specific durations with short rest periods to allow you to change exercise and momentarily get your breath back! Each session finishes with a cool down and some static/developmental stretching. Please note that Eastbourne Boot Camp is NOT a military style camp. You will not find any barking of orders here!

Q. How long does a session last? A. All sessions last for between 50 and 60 minutes depending on the day of the week and start promptly. Please turn up a few minutes early! Q. I have never used Kettlebells or Bulgarian Bags before, is this a problem? A. Not at all! Inductions are held on a Saturday morning 8:20am - 8:50am. Please contact me using the form below to book your place. Q. Is the boot camp suitable for someone who has never exercised before? A. Indeed it is! We specialise in getting unfit people, fitter and those who are fit - fitter still! All exercises are selected so that individuals can work within their own abilities, while being encouraged and motivated along the way. Everyone from the complete beginner to the full on fitness enthusiast will be pushed to the maximum of their abilities!

Q. What results could I expect when attending boot camp?
A. If you attend boot camp regularly and follow the advice provided in the Free Information Pack you can expect a multitude of benefits including fat loss, increased muscle tone, shape and strength. You can also look forward to increased stamina, endurance and flexibility. In addition you may improve energy, vitality and self confidence.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?

Q. Does boot camp take place in bad weather?
A. There is no such thing as bad weather, only incorrect clothing choice! Boot camp takes place regardless of weather conditions.
Q. What do I need to bring and wear?
A. The most important thing to bring is a bottle of water which will help you stay hydrated and performing optimally. In addition you should wear clothing that is suitable for the weather conditions.
If it’s hot wear shorts or tracksuit bottoms and T shirt and don’t forget the sunscreen!
In the cold wear a tracksuit and warm top along with a hat and gloves (if needed).
If it is raining wear a waterproof and baseball cap.
It is very important that you wear suitable footwear for exercising and running on grass. Trainers with a good tread are ideal.
That's all you will need. Leave any valuables at home as there is no facility for storage in the park!

Q. Are there changing facilities available? A. There are no changing facilities available in the park however there are toilets and a cafe. The sessions that take place at Brighton University have changing facilities and toilets available. Please come prepared in your workout clothing. Q. How do I pay? A. All payments must be made in advance of the boot camp start date. To make a payment please contact me using the booking form provided below.
Payments via bank transfer, cash or cheque are accepted. Once payment has been made you will receive a welcome e mail and information pack containing everything that you need to get started and keep you going! Q. How can I ensure I get my place on the next camp? A. You can guarantee your place by speaking directly to Matt and making a payment.
