My Philosophy and Approach

My philosophy and approach to the promotion of physical and mental fitness, health and wellbeing centres around the principle of balance.

In order to achieve optimal fitness, performance, health and wellbeing, we should be looking to bring balance into our lives at every opportunity.

Within the fitness industry this is traditionally catered for through:-

• Engaging in regular physical activity (exercise)

• Eating healthy food

• Reducing stress

My belief is that this traditional approach falls short, and in falling short, fails to consider such factors as: -

• An awareness of how the mind influences every aspect of our lives, the choices we make, our motivations, attitudes and beliefs.

• Learning how to nurture healthy and positive thought processes.

• Being aware of the need for balancing of the bodies subtle energy centres, identified through ancient eastern medicine.

• Promoting relaxation, rest and recovery.

If harmony within our lives is not achieved, we suffer through the consequences of those imbalances, usually displaying itself as illness, disease, negative mental states and lack of vitality.

In this day and age, evidence of the destruction caused by leading an unbalanced and unhealthy lifestyle is plain for all to see.

Increasing incidents of obesity, stress related illness, diabetes, cancer, heart disease and mental illnesses to name a few.

My aim is to reach out and educate as many people as possible about how to bring balance, and as a result, health, fitness and wellness into their lives.

I wish to open people to new possibilities about how to tackle fitness, their minds and their lifestyle, to positively influence self belief and ultimately guide people to healthy, successful and fulfilling lives.

My philosophy regarding client service is one of placing the client’s needs first, investing time and effort and fostering personal development.

I believe in making fitness fun, challenging and varied.

I believe in taking time out, in rejuvenating the mind and subtle energy centres using varied and far reaching techniques.

Finally, I believe in the ability to listen to our body, something that in this day and age of ever increasing demands we seem to be loosing touch with.

My approach is simple, and works incredibly well for both myself and clients alike.
