The nutrition articles contained within this section of my site have been written to further understanding in the area of diet and nutrition. Unfortunately in this day and age of mass media, there exists a great deal of confusion as to what we should be eating. The literature is filled with myths, ideas, beliefs, and seemingly ever changing guidelines. You can hardly miss how the news is often littered with reports on what foods are good for us, what foods are not so good, and which are just plain BAD. Television and magazines play an equally large part in adding to the confusion, what with genetically modified to organic food, saturated fats, trans fats and polyunsaturates, complex carbs and sugars, fresh and processed produce.
Is it any wonder there are so many incidents of poor health and so much conflicting information? Fortunately, there is a great deal of scientific evidence concerning the food we eat and what is good for us and why. The only problem is in having to filter through the nutritional information, to get to the pearls of wisdom, which is where this section of my web site comes in. It's here to make your job of understanding nutrition and how it can benefit YOU that little bit easier. Perhaps you are unsure about what you should be eating?
